Racism is one of the major problems of modern
society because it preaches hatred and encourages an attitude of rejection and
violence. It is also the living proof of the lack of protection, defense and
enforcement of human rights as well as the passivity of the governments in
relation with humanitarian rights. Moreover, Racism threatens global
coexistence which creates social insecurity and the maintenance of world peace a
complicated task. In addition, it is a barrier that does not allow the union of
nations, people and the solution of global problems altogether. Today, many
people are mistreated, disrespect and even killed for their race, color and
origin by people who believe they are superior and have the power over them.
One solution to the problem of racism is to
empower human rights and international organizations so that the framework for
protection is greater and more effective. A second solution is to provide
better values to people from an early age. If you educate younger generations
on equality and diversity, racism will be eventually overcome. A third
solution is to promote the role of the media to promote respect for cultures
because through it the message reaches more people around the world. If education, media and international organizations work together, racism will be a problem of the past.
